Level: Low-Beginning (Basic)

Purpose: Practice vocabulary items and comparative adjectives: cold, colder, warm, warmer, hot.

Materials: A small object that can be hidden easily; for example, an eraser, a small pencil sharpener.

Procedures:

1. One student leaves the class.
2. Another person hides an object in the room so that everyone else could see where it is.
3. When the first person comes back he/she needs to find the hidden object. The class actively helps the seeker by calling out "COLD" if the seeker is far from the object. If he/she starts moving in the right direction, the class starts shouting "WARM", "WARMER" and finally "HOT, HOT, HOT" when the seeker is really close to the hidden object.
