Indiana University-BloomingtonJob description: Director of Center for Language Technology and Instructional Enrichment (CeLTIE). The College of Arts and Sciences at Indiana University, Bloomington is seeking a new director for our language technology center, which is a venue that places the College at the leading edge of language pedagogy and technology. The new Director will provide strong leadership for the Center and vision for enhancing the use of CeLTIE by units in the College by reaching out to those departments; oversee the Language and Computer Laboratories; collaborate with language instruction faculty across the campus to support language pedagogy across the College’s departments and area studies/Title VI programs; provide support for less commonly taught languages; work with the language departments to help proficiency assessment experts; contribute to outreach efforts; and promote the presence of Indiana University at regional, national and international foreign language conferences. The Director will support on-line language learning opportunities such as CourseShare, and will assist in the planning of other new initiatives in language teaching and learning for the 70+ languages taught in the College. The Director’s appointment will include a coterminous appointment as Lecturer or Senior Lecturer, depending upon experience and qualifications.
